ABOUT

Antony Youssef is an interdisciplinary artist based in Sydney, Australia. He creates interactive art which lures viewers out of reality, inviting them to discover the world around them in playful, surprising and thought-provoking ways. He focusses primarily on the media of sound and light, using his formal training in music and a background in technical theatre to create immersive multi-sensory installations.

Antony takes inspiration from artists such as Rafael Lozano-Hemmer and UK-based collective Squidsoup, who create stunning and wholly immersive experiences using technology and digital media. He has exhibited both in public spaces and galleries, but prefers to present art where it is both accessible and unexpected.

Having graduated in 2018 from a degree in Arts (Music) at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, Antony is currently completing a degree in Law at Sydney University.
